We are located on the edge of wildlife management district 6 and 11. Bear hunts starting the last week in August. Moose hunts are permit only September and October. For a permit application call Inland Fisheries and Wildlife at 207-287-8000 before April. Deer hunting starts in October for bow; firearms in November. Check with www.mefishwildlife.com for seasons dates. Grouse hunting is one of our favorite. We do not have dogs, but you may bring your own. Most hunts are hiking just out the door of camp or riding the hundreds of miles of logging roads in the area. Guided hunts and tril cookouts are available.
